This 12-volt DC motor provides the cranking force to spin the engine over for starting via the bendix engagement system. The KA100 uses an onboard electric starter powered by a 12V battery, making it a true TaG (Touch and Go) platform that does not require an external starter or push-starting.

The starter motor mounts to the crankcase via Allen bolts and engages the starter ring gear through the bendix assembly. Over time, starter motors can develop weak cranking from worn brushes (replaceable, see part 254A), corroded commutator segments, or internal bearing wear. If replacing the brushes does not restore cranking performance, the complete motor should be replaced.

Includes: Starter motor assembly (brushes, armature, housing)

Quantity: 1 complete starter motor

Before replacing the entire motor, check the battery voltage, cable connections, and starter brushes.
